Henry
D. Landes, Founder/President, Family Business
Advisor, Learning Lab Chair (Next-Generation & CEO)
Integrity ... Experience ... Expertise
Henry Landes is founder and president of the Delaware Valley Family
Business Center which has served over 600 family firms since 1988.
A contributing editor of Family Business Magazine, Henry and his
clients are often featured in this leading international publication.
He is also a frequent speaker to family businesses and advisors
of family firms.
Henry helps business families speak the truth about the real issues,
build strong, effective teams (family councils, shareholder groups
and executive teams) and develop policies and plans for another
generation of success. While engagements are custom designed for
each family, they typically include facilitating family meetings
and/or shareholder groups which forge family policies and shareholder
commitments that establish a solid foundation for family and business
growth. Engagements also may include Board Development and Assessment,
Shareholder Education, Next-Generation Assessments and Mentoring,
Strategic Planning, and Executive Coaching.
Henry's passionate interest in family business education led to
the founding of the Delaware Valley Family Business Forum, a membership
"learning community" with more than 80 family firms in the greater
Philadelphia region. Members learn best practices from each other
and from experts at quarterly Forum meetings.
Growing up in a successful family business (currently integrating
the 4th generation into management and ownership) gives him a first-hand
appreciation for the special challenges facing business families.
Henry received his Master's degree from the University of North
Carolina Chapel Hill and is a member of the Family Firm Institute,
the National Association of Corporate Directors(NACD), and the Association
for Conflict Resolution. He serves as Chairman of Landes Learning
International and TourMagination. Henry and his wife and business
partner, Jane, have two children and two exceptional grandchildren.
