Dr. Cindy Iannarelli |
Developing Entrepreneurial Thinking & Family Business Leadership in the Next Generation
Presenter: Dr. Cindy Iannarelli, Consultant, Author, President of Bernelli University
Based on her 20 years of research, Dr. Cindy will focus on how children and young adults develop personal and business skills (both good and bad) by observing and learning from their parents, grandparents, and key executives in the family business.
You will hear a true case study of a family business that transitioned from the second generation to the third and is now moving into the fourth by initiating a training and development program for the 13 children, ages 3 to 33. Learn how to create a next generation development process for your own family business which insures peace in the family and well developed character and skills in the next generation.
Growing up in the family business founded by her immigrant father, Cindy gained a unique insight into business operations at an early age. While working, alongside her mother as a teenager in her women’s clothing store, she observed first hand how knowledge passed from one generation to the next in an entrepreneurial family. In 1987, Cindy was honored as the “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” by the US Small Business Administration in Western PA.
Her primary doctorate research on Developing Entrepreneurial Thinking and Entrepreneurial Leadership Systems led her to become a sought after speaker and international consultant.
A pioneer in the field, Dr Iannarelli launched the first business plan competition for teenagers, the first Camp Entrepreneur, the first training programs for preschool children, the first mascot, Bizzbee, to inspire children to learn entrepreneurship in 1995, the first design for a mobile business classroom, the Bizzmobile, to provide a real world business simulation, the first systematic method to develop entrepreneurial leadership with 5 skills, 5 stages, and 5 steps in 1998, the first television series to teach entrepreneurship, and the first graduate school to focus solely on Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Dr Iannarelli was a visiting lecturer at the Wharton Business School Family Enterprise Center and lectured at the Czechoslovak Management Center and throughout Eastern Europe and Russia. She initiated a student and faculty exchange at the University of Trento, Italy in 1993 prior to initiating the Family Business Course there which was the first course in the School of Economics to be offered online under her direction in 2000.
Dr Iannarelli has traveled to close to 100 Universities to deliver lectures in the Executive Education. Her family business clients include founding families of some of the world’s largest multinational firms as well as a host of midsize family firms through the US and Europe.
