Mark your calendar for our Annual Family Business Dinner Meeting on November 17, which is always a favorite event!

The evening will begin with an Open House at Sanford Alderfer Auction & Appraisal, Hatfield, PA, a Member celebrating their 50th Anniversary! Member firms, including Clemens Family Corporation, Four Seasons Produce, Landis Supermarket, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates and Shady Maple Smorgasbord will host the evening at Christopher Dock High School beginning with hors d'oeuvres followed by a sit-down buffet dinner and program.

This year we have an extraordinary opportunity to hear Dan Cathy, President/COO and a second generation shareholder of Chick-fil-A, ... yes, the popular restaurant with the "Eat Mor Chikin" Cows! Dan will share the Chick-fil-A story, including the company's family/business values, the development of the next generation, and how his family business is making a difference in the world. It all started in 1946, when Dan's father, Truett Cathy, opened his first restaurant, Dwarf Grill, in Hapeville, Georgia. Credited with inventing the boneless breast of chicken sandwich, Mr. Cathy founded Chick-fil-A, Inc. in the early 1960s and pioneered the establishment of restaurants in shopping malls with the opening of the first Chick-fil-A Restaurant at a mall in suburban Atlanta in 1967. Chick-fil-A is still privately held and family owned. With 39 consecutive years of positive sales growth, Chick-fil-A has set itself apart by pioneering innovations and delicious products – including the ever-popular Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich.

From PA Turnpike
Follow I-276 to I-476 North (Northeast Ext.) and take Exit 31 (Lansdale). After the tolls, turn left on Rt. 63 (Sumneytown Pike) and then turn left at first traffic light on Towamencin Avenue. Turn left at traffic light on Forty Foot Road. Follow 2 miles and turn left on Clemens Road. Turn right on Fairgrounds Road.
From Allentown
Follow Rt. 309 South to Souderton Exit (Rt. 113). Turn right on Broad Street. Follow Broad Street 3 miles and turn left on Cowpath Road. Follow approximately 2 miles and turn right on Fairgrounds Road.
From Philadelphia
Follow Rt. 309 North to Montgomeryville (past the Montgomeryville Mall). At Five Points intersection, veer left on Rt. 463 (Cowpath Road.). Follow Cowpath Road approximately 4 miles and turn left on Fairgrounds Road.
